The Prophet
Released in 1960 as design number 412.
This sculpture was one of three pieces the studio released in 1960 as limited editions in the Religious Collection (later renamed Biblical Collection). All three items were considered "Modern" in style. This departure from the traditional style was not a successful experiment for Cybis. Publications indicate The Prophet was available only in color but later offered in Parian white and color. The only color version noted has been a dull gold finish, not to be confused with Old Coin Gold. It took nine years to sell 50 copies with The Prophet being completed in 1969. No price increase noted during its entire nine year run.

The Prophet is predominately found in Parian white but studio publications indicate it was also made in Parian color.
